Event description: 

Matthew Hart teaches English at Columbia University. He specializes in twentieth and twenty-first century literature, with a particular focus on British writing. His book, Nations of Nothing But Poetry was published by Oxford University Press in 2010. He is founding co-editor of the Literature Now book series at Columbia University Press, Associate Editor of Contemporary Literature, and past president of ASAP: the Association for the Study of the Arts of the Present. His current book project has the provisional title “Extraterritorial: A Political Geography of Contemporary Literature.”
