Event description: 

J. Daniel Elam teaches postcolonial literature and transnational studies at the University of Toronto. He was the Mellon Sawyer Seminar postdoctoral fellow in “Bibliomigrancy: World Literature in the Public Sphere” at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned his PhD from Northwestern University. He is the editor of two volumes on South Asian revolutionary anticolonial writing, as well as the author of essays on W.E.B. Du Bois, Emma Goldman, and early Hindi cinema.
