Event description:
Dr. Daniel McCann is the Leverhulme Early Career Fellow in English at the University of Oxford, St. Anne’s College where he teaches in medieval literature and culture, the psychology of literary response, affectivity and language, and medieval medicine.
He is the author of “Heaven and Health: Middle English Devotion to Christ in its Therapeutic Contexts.” In ‘Diuerse Imaginaciouns of Cristes Life’: Devotional Culture in England 1300-1560. Eds. R Perry and S Kelly (Brepols, 2012) and a forthcoming text entitled “Feeling Dredeful: Fear and Therapy in The Scale of Perfection”.
