Event description: 

Denis Ferhatović works as an Assistant Professor of English at Connecticut College. He has published scholarly articles in Neophilologus, Studies in Philology, and Forum for Modern Language Study. His essay “Aliens and Anglo-Saxons in Edwin Morgan’s ‘The First Men on Mercury’ ” is forthcoming in Medieval Science Fiction (King’s College London Medieval Studies). Another essay, on burning books for fuel in Sarajevo under siege, and a sequence of poems inspired by the Old English Exodus will appear shortly in Rumba Under Fire: The Arts of Survival From West Point to Delhi (Punctum Books). He has delivered talks in the US, Western Europe, Turkey, and the Balkans.
