The Renaissance Society of America has awarded Lawrence Manley and his co-author Sally-Beth MacLean (University of Toronto) the 2015 Phyllis Goodhart Gordan Book Prize forLord Strange’s Men and Their Plays. The Gordan Prize is awarded to the best book in Renaissance Studies by a current member of the RSA, whose international membership totals more than 6,000. Books in the period 1300-1700 dealing with history, any of the vernacular literatures or Latin, art, music, philosophy, and other disciplines are all eligible.
