Cynthia Zarin is the author of two novels, Inverno (shortlisted for the Premio Letterai / Bridge Prize) and Estate, forthcoming in November; six books of poetry, including Orbit and Next Day: New and Selected Poems; five books for children, and two essay collections: Two Cites and An Enlarged Heart: A Personal History. Her honors include a Guggenheim Fellowship, a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in Literature, an Ingram Merrill Foundation Award for Poetry, and the Los Angeles Times Book Book Prize for Poetry. She has been a long time contributor to The New Yorker, her work has also appeared in The New York Times, The Paris Review, The New York Review of Books, the TLS, and other publications. She is a Senior Lecturer in the English Department at Yale, and lives in New York City.
