David Litt is the author of “Thanks, Obama: My Hopey Changey White House Years,” a New York Times bestselling memoir about his experiences as a speechwriter for President Obama, starting at age 24. Litt, who has been described as “the comic muse for the president,” served as Obama’s lead joke writer for four White House Correspondents Dinners. The New York Times called his book “brilliantly observed” and “inspiring”; Slate called it “irresistibly charming.” Litt will read and answer questions.
