
Su Fang Ng is Professor of English and Cutchins Professor at Virginia Tech. She is the author of two monographs—Literature and the Politics of Family in Seventeenth-Century England (Cambridge UP 2007) and Alexander the Great from Britain to Southeast Asia: Peripheral Empires in the Global Renaissance (Oxford UP 2019)—and a Cambridge Element, Writing ‘Discovery’ in the Early Modern East Indies (Cambridge UP 2022). She edited a special issue of Genre and co-edited a volume of essays England’s Asian Renaissance (Delaware 2022). Her second book won the Renaissance Society of America’s 2020 Gordan Prize for best book in Renaissance Studies. She is currently co-editing The Cambridge Companion to Global Literary Culture in Early Modern England and completing a book on Brokering with Caliban: East Indies Diplomacy in Early Modern English Drama from Shakespeare to Dryden.
