Joe Cleary will read from his new book, Modernism, Empire, World Literature. His books include Outrageous Fortune: Capital and Culture in Modern Ireland and The Irish Expatriate Novel in Late Capitalism Globalization, forthcoming this month.
Anne Fadiman will read from her essay “All My Pronouns: How I Learned to Live with the Singular They.” Her books include The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down, Ex Libris, and The Wine Lover’s Daughter.
