David Bromwich: Clarendon Lectures 2013

David Bromwich will deliver this year’s Clarendon Lectures in English, “How Words Make Things Happen,” at the University of Oxford. His subject is the relationship between the work of persuasion and the work of imagination; the authors to be discussed include Shakespeare, Milton, Burke, Yeats, and Auden.
