Glyn Maxwell’s books of poetry include The Breakage, The Nerve, Hide Now and One Thousand Nights and Counting: Selected Poems. He has won the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize and the E.M.Forster Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. His latest book Pluto is shortlisted for The Forward Prize. His guidebook On Poetry was published this fall by Harvard University Press. During a ten-year spell in the US, he taught at Amherst, Columbia, Princeton, NYU and The New School, and was Poetry Editor of The New Republic. Several of his plays have been staged in London and New York. He currently lives in London and teaches at the University of Essex.
