Stephen Greenblatt: “Shakespearean Autonomy”

Professor Stephen Greenblatt, a noted scholar of Renaissance literature, is the general editor of The Norton Shakespeare and the author of Will in the World: How Shakespeare Became Shakespeare. His forthcoming book, titled Shakespeare’s Freedom is due out in November from The University of Chicago Press. The talk is being held in honor of the awarding of the 2010 Wilbur Lucius Cross Medals, the highest honor the Graduate School accords its alumni.
