Anthony Reed Awarded the Samuel and Ronnie Heyman Prize

The English Department is delighted to report that Anthony Reed’s book, Freedom Time, has been selected for Yale’s Samuel and Ronnie Heyman Prize, founded to honor outstanding scholarship by a junior faculty member in the Humanities.   The Humanities Advisory Committee, which served as the selection committee this year, praised it “for its ambition to examine ‘the unthought’ in Black experience through some of the most challenging experimental writing of the last century.”
