The Irish Worlds Seminar, a new WHC working group in Irish Studies, will host its first event, “Aspects of the Irish Novel,” with Barry McCrea, on September 12, at 3 pm, in HQ 107.

Barry McCrea is a novelist, scholar, and the Donald R. Keough Family Professor of Irish Studies at the University of Notre Dame (and formerly Professor of Comp Lit at Yale). At the event, McCrea will discuss the particular questions of form and style with which an Irish novelist has to grapple and read from his own current novel-in-progress.
