Lis Harris: In Jerusalem

Lis Harris (former New Yorker staff writer and forthcoming chair of the Writing Department at Columbia University’s School of the Arts) will read from and talk about her new book, In Jerusalem, an immersively reported account of three generations of two families, one Israeli and one Palestinian, living in Jerusalem. Hilton Als has said of the book, “The deep and complex realities of Israeli/Palestinian daily life have had no better observer and no more judicious participant. A work for the ages.”
