Congratulations to John Williams, Assistant Professor of English, who was recently selected as a 2012 recipient of the Samuel and Ronnie Heyman Prize for Outstanding Scholarly Publication. This honor recognizes his book under contract with Yale University Press, Buddha/Machine: Art, Technology, and the Meeting of East and West, which is praised for ”exploring tensions between the West’s perceived technological leadership and the competing East’s holistic approach to technological advances.”
