Professor Jacqueline Goldsby

August 28, 2011

The Departments of English and African American Studies welcome Professor Jacqueline Goldsby.  Professor Goldsby’s research and teaching focus on African American and American literatures. She is especially interested in the ways that authors and texts articulate un-archived, “secret” and so, unspeakable developments that shaped American life during the long century of Jim Crow segregation’s reign, from 1865 to 1965.  This fall she will be teaching ENGL314 Black Women Writers of the 1940s and 1950s, and ENGL127-02 Readings in American Literature.  For more on Professor Goldsby click here (http://english.yale.edu/faculty-staff/jacqueline-goldsby).
