Adela Pinch is a Professor of English at the University of Michigan, Ann-Arbor. She is the author of Thinking About Other People in Nineteenth-Century British Writing, and Strange Fits of Passion: Epistemologies of Emotion, Hume to Austen. She has a forthcoming article in Romanticism and Victorianism on the Net #65: “The Allure of Panpsychism in Victorian Britain.”
