On Friday, October 11th at 1:30-3:30 in LC319, the 18th/19th Century Colloquium will be hosting a Book Launch Party for Naomi Levine and Priyasha Mukhopadhyay’s first monographs, The Burden of Rhyme: Poetry, Formalism, and the Feeling of Literary History and Required Reading: The Life of Everyday Texts in the British Empire.
This event will feature responses to their respective work by scholars both in-field and out-of-field. It promises to be a lively discussion on reading and methodology in Victorian literary culture as well as the broader discipline of English literary studies.
