About the Chubb Fellowship: To be named a Chubb Fellow is Yale’s highest honor accorded to a visiting speaker. Since 1949, Chubb Fellows have been invited and funded through Timothy Dwight College. Fellows have included Nobel Laureates, U.S. Presidents, heads of state, and prominent public figures in government, industry, and the arts.  In the last decade, we have awarded the Chubb Fellowship to author and activist Ta-Nehisi Coates, journalist and news commentator Anderson Cooper, violin virtuoso Hilary Hahn, Ambassador Susan Rice, physician and humanitarian Dr. Hawa Abdi of Somalia, and our long serving congresswoman, the Honorable Rosa DeLauro.
