The John Christophe Schlesinger Visiting Writer Series of the Department of English: Carl Phillips

Carl Phillips is an American writer and poet. He is a Professor of English and of African and Afro-American Studies at Washington University in St. Louis. He is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship for Creative Arts, The Kingsley and Kate Tufts Poetry Award, and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, among other honors.
