Andrew H. Miller: “On Not Being Someone Else”

Thursday, March 28 at 4:00, LC 319. The 18th-19th-Century Colloquium presents: Andrew H. Miller is Professor of English at Indiana University and co-editor of the journal Victorian Studies.  His first book, Novels Behind Glass, explores the relationship between narrative form and commodity culture in the Victorian period.  The Burdens of Perfection, his second book, also deals with Victorian narrative form, but, in this case, focuses on the interplay between novels and concepts of moral perfectionism in the period.  His talk will come from his current project, “On Not Being Someone Else.”
