Andrew Kraebel: “The School of Rolle”

Thursday, September 22 at 4:00, LC 319 the Medieval-Renaissance Colloquium presents: Andrew Kraebel, PhD candidate in the English Department.  Andrew’s research focuses on the relationship between academic commentary and literary production in late-medieval England.  We will be discussing his pre-circulated paper on the Latin and English commentaries on the Psalter by Richard Rolle, whose example as a biblical translator was especially influential in the later-fourteenth and fifteenth centuries.
