Congratulations to Katie Trumpener, Professor of Comparative Literature and English, who was recently named a recipient of the Graduate School’s 2012 Graduate Mentor Award. This award recognizes faculty members who have been exceptional in their support of the professional, scholarly, and personal development of their students. One nomination letter for Professor Trumpener noted that “As a dissertation adviser, her energy, inspiration, and empathy has been a life-changing gift. She is at once the most intellectually imaginative, rigorous, far-reaching adviser and the most humane and generous mentor I have encountered at Yale. Through her openness and courage, she has singlehandedly changed the atmosphere of graduate life in our department.”
