Friday, November 9 at 4:00, LC 319 the 20/21st Century Colloquium presents: Meredith Martin, Department of English, Princeton University. Meredith Martin is Associate Professor of English at Princeton University. Her work covers a range of Anglophone poetry from the 1830s to the contemporary, exploring the shifting relationships between poetic form, public culture and pedagogy. Her 2012 The Rise and Fall of Meter: Poetry and English National Culture was recently published by Princeton University Press, and her articles have appeared in such journals as Victorian Poetry, Victorian Studies, and Modernism/Modernity. She also edits the Princeton Prosody Archive, a searchable archive of manuscripts, manuals, articles, grammar books and other materials related to prosody.
