September 22, 2016

The 2016 MacArthur Fellows have been announced, with our very own Claudia Rankine and Sarah Stillman among this distinguished list.  Claudia and Sarah both joined our faculty this fall, and Sarah is an alumna.  Please join us in extending our heartiest congratulations to them both.

The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation supports creative people, effective institutions, and influential networks building a more just, verdant, and peaceful world.  www.macfound.org

The MacArthur Fellows Program awards unrestricted fellowships to talented individuals who have shown extraordinary originality and dedication in their creative pursuits and a marked capacity for self-direction.

There are three criteria for selection of Fellows: exceptional creativity, promise for important future advances based on a track record of significant accomplishment, and potential for the fellowship to facilitate subsequent creative work.

The MacArthur Fellows Program is intended to encourage people of outstanding talent to pursue their own creative, intellectual, and professional inclinations.
