Jack Hanson

Jack Hanson is a writer, editor, and scholar of religion, literature, and culture. He received his PhD in Religious Studies from Yale University in 2024, with a dissertation on Catholicism and the critique of modernity. His essays, criticism, and poetry have appeared in 4 Columns, The Baffler, Commonweal, The Nation, PN Review, and elsewhere, and he is associate editor at The Yale Review. He is currently at work on a novel and a study of the thought and reception history of Simone Weil.
